Saturday 31st of October 2009, will always be remembered in the history of Angadi Institute of Technology and Management, the day when the students celebrated the freshers’ day and the college celebrated its first event. The day was full of dazzling moments, cultural activities, skits and special appearances. The stage was decorated by the presence of

The event started with a melodious and mesmerizing traditional song. Then Lamp was Lighten by all the Dignitaries. After a brief introduction of all the members on the stage, the audience was treated with motivational speeches from the honourable guests on the stage. First to start was advocate Shri S M. Kulkarni who was proud of the fact that his student Shri Suresh C Angadi has accomplished so much and is contributing in such a noble cause by setting up an educational institution.
Then a motivating speech was delivered by Dr H P. Khincha, honourable Vice Chancellor, Visvesvaraya Technological University. Dr. Khincha explained the classic Sisyphean challenge were a greek was forced to put a round stone on top a hill and keep it from falling off, he explained that setting up an educational institution is a Sisyphean challenge in itself. He further asked the students to set their priorities right and to work hard to simplify the lives of people. He said “Engineers work to make life easier” and this should be the goal of every engineer.
Shri Arvind Limbavali, Honourable Minister of Education, Government of Karnataka, explained about the governments’ plans for the betterment of education in Karnataka. He said the government has reduced the fees for engineering students and introduced a new SAT based CET coaching programme for rural students. He said that the engineering students of Karnataka are a force to be reckoned in the world and the government will make all possible efforts to keep it that way.
Shri Suresh C. Angadi, Chaiman Angadi Institute of Technology and Management thanked all the dignitaries for attending the event and guiding the students in the right direction with their valuable advice. He then urged the students to work hard and brighten the name of the institution.
Then after a short break the fun begun with spectacular dance performances, funny skits, melodious songs and I have to make a special mention here of a student performing spectacular Yoga. The day also saw the comic act of Shetty (Canteen Manager).The event had a perfect end with lots of smiles and happy faces.
